Day 01: Arrive Mumbai International Airport
Assistance by our Company Representative at Mumbai International airport arrival Terminal, transfer to your prebooked hotel, relax & overnight in Mumbai.
Day 02: Mumbai
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, after breakfast meet the guide who will take you to city tour visiting Gateway of India – The imposing stone archway in Indo-Saracenic architecture built in 1911, later cruise by motor boats to Elephanta island, island which was known as Gharapuri earlier is the glorious abode of Lord Shiva. This island was renamed, Elephanta by the Portuguese who landed here, after they saw the majestically carved elephant on this island. Spread over an area of 500 sq mt is the cave temple of Elephanta. A flight of 100 steps takes you to the top of the hill where it is set. The temple houses large pillars that seem to hold the ceiling which is made of cross beams. The picturesque presentation of the 9 marvelous sculptured panels, set on the walls is awe-inspiring. The most famous of the panels is the Trimurthi, or triple-headed Shiva, where the God is depicted as the destroyer, the preserver and the creator. Later in the afternoon cruise back to Gateway of India. Later visit Prince of Wales Museum, Parliament House, Marine Drive, Jain Temple, Hanging Gardens, Mani Bhawan, Mahalaxmi Temple and Dhobhi Ghat – the Indian Laundry system. Evening free for leisure, overnight in Bombay.
Day 03: Mumbai – Nashik (180 kms – 4 hrs)
After breakfast at the hotel a pleasant drive of 4 hrs will take you to the holy city of Nashik which is also one of venue of Kumbh Mela which held every 12 years. On arrival transfer to hotel. After freshen up visit the Trambakeshwar, Sunder Narayan Temple & Sita Gupta Caves. Evening free to relax, overnight in Nashik.
Day 04: Nashik – Shirdi – Aurangabad (220 kms – 4 to 5 hrs)
After breakfast checkout & drive through the country side to Aurangabad enroute visiting the Holy Shrine of Sai Baba – the Saint of 19 Century who preached “ There’s Only One God for Every Body – In Hindi “ Sabka Malik Ek”. After paying your respect at the Temple drive to Aurangabad, on arrival transfer to hotel. Evening is kept free for relaxing, overnight at the hotel in Aurangabad.
Day 05: Aurangabad – Ellora (55 kms one way) – Aurangabad
After breakfast drive to famous Ellora caves. Ellora is one of the highly visited World heritage sites of India. It houses 34 monasteries and temples with some exclusive uninterrupted sequence of monuments that date back from 600 to 1000 AD. The temples of Ellora are dedicated to Brahmanism, Jainism, and Buddhism. It also has some of the excellent stonework depicting the legends related to Lord Shiva. Later drive back to Aurangabad, relax for some time and visit the City of Aurangabad visiting the Daulatabad Fort, Tomb of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb & Pan Chakki, Bibi-ka-Maqbara. Evening free for individual activities, overnight at the hotel.
Day 06: Aurangabad – Ajanta (105 kms one way) – Aurangabad
take a sightseeing tour of famous Ajanta caves. Ajanta is one of the few historical and architectural marvels of India. Recognized as the World Heritage site today, it was discovered during the 19th century by a group of British officers who were on a tiger hunt. The Ajanta group of caves, located deep within the Sahyadri hills above the Waghora, depicts the story of Buddhism that prevailed here during 200 BC to 650 AD. Later drive back to Aurangabad, rest of the evening free for individual activities, overnight in Aurangabad.
Day 07: Aurangabad – Pune (200 kms – 4 hrs)
After breakfast checkout & drive to Pune, on arrival transfer to hotel. Evening is kept free to visit Osho Ashram in Pune. Overnight in Pune.
Day 08: Pune
After breakfast take a sight seeing tour of Pune, visiting Lal Deval Synagogue, Bund Garden, Osho Ashram, Patleshwar Temple, Kunhya Murlidhar Temple, Omkareshwar Temple & The Museums. Evening free to stroll in the busy bazaars of Pune, overnight at the hotel.
Day 09: Pune – Karla – Bhaja – Mumbai (183 kms – 3 hrs) – Back Home
After breakfast checkout & drive to Mumbai enroute visit Karla & Bhaja Buddhist Caves near Lonavala Hill Station, you will experience the superfast drive on Pune Mumbai Express Highway which covers the distance on 183 kms in 2 to 3 hrs time. On arrival in Mumbai time free for shopping or individual activities, you can have dinner at one of the many famous restaurants of Mumbai, later transfer to international airport to board the flight back home.
