Day 01: Arrive Delhi
You will be greeted on arrival at Delhi International airport by ITS representative, you will be transferred to your prebooked hotel in Delhi, a brief on your tour by our representative & exchanging of tour documents, relax & overnight in Delhi.
Day 02: Delhi
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel & start your sight seeing tour of Delhi at 1000 hrs, visit old Delhi covering the magnificent Red Fort, Jama Mosque, Chandni Chowk & Raj Ghat – the memoir of Mahatma Gandhi – Father of Nation. Enjoy rickshaw ride in Old Delhi an amusing experience. Afternoon take a sight seeing tour to cover New Delhi visiting The President House, India Gate, Humayuns Tomb & Qutub Minar. Evening visit the Lotus Shaped Bahai Temple & the famous Temple of Laxmi Narayan. Evening is kept free to explore the markets of Delhi if you wish too, otherwise relax at the hotel & overnight in Delhi.
Day 03: Delhi – Jaipur (259 kms – 5 to 6 hrs)
An early breakfast at 0730 hrs is recommended so that you can start your journey to the capital city of Rajasthan by 0830 hrs. Reach Jaipur by 1400 hrs, transfer to hotel, day free to relax after the drive. Evening we will take a driving tour of Jaipur city & visiting the famous Temple of Goddess Galta also known as valleys of monkeys due to large number of monkeys found in the Temple Complex, drive pass through the Sisodia gardens & visit the Temple of Birla – made out in the best of Makrana pure white marble. Later you will be driven to Chokhi Dhani – An ethnic 5* resort with an ambiance of village though this resort is packed by locals but the fun is that you get a chance to experience Indian & specially Rajasthan culture over here with live folk dance & music, puppet shows, camel rides & also you will enjoy the tradition of eating food by seating on the ground & tasting the ethnic Rajasthan cuisine. Later transfer to your hotel for overnight in Jaipur.
Day 04: Jaipur
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel & start your sight seeing tour of Jaipur by 0900 hrs, drive 11 kms out of the city to reach the Fort of Amber, over here you have choice of reaching the fort on Elephant Back or by open jeeps, though elephant ride is recommended because the Kings at there time use to travel on Elephant back & will give you the same feeling of the golden era visit the Amer Fort & Palace & several chambers & ancient temples in the premises of the fort. After this wonderful experience, we will drive back to the city of Jaipur to continue our sight seeing tour comprising of City Palace Complex, Hawa Mahal – the Palace on winds specially made in the honour of Royal Ladies of the bygone era to watch the processions & other festivals from here without being seen from the eyes of the local crowd. Later visit the Royal Observatory & take a peep into the markets of Jaipur known for the superior quality of Handicrafts, Arts, Gems & Jewellery. Rest of the day is kept free for individual activities, relax & overnight at the hotel in Jaipur.
Day 05: Jaipur – Fatehpur Sikri – Bharatpur – Agra (230 kms – 6 hrs)
After an early breakfast leave for Agra by 0830 hrs enroute enjoy bicycle rides in the National Park of Keoladeo very famous for housing more than 385 species of migratory birds, later we will drive to Agra enroute visiting the city of Fatehpur Sikri built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar but later shifted to Delhi due to scarcity of water in Fatehpur Sikri the most importance places to see in Fatehpur Sikri is Bulund Darwaza, Panch Mahal, & Shrine of Shaikh Salim Chisti. Proceed to Agra & transfer to your prebooked hotel. Evening free to relax or take a walking tour of Agra market known for its inlay marble handicrafts. Overnight in Agra.
Day 06: Agra – Varanasi (By Overnight Train at 2230 hrs)
After breakfast get ready to see the 7th wonder of the World – The Great Taj Mahal built by Mughal Icon Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife Queen Mumtaz. After admiring the Taj Mahal you will proceed to Agra Fort & visit its Chambers of Kings, Common Man, the prisons & also enjoy a panoramic view of the Taj Mahal from here. Later drive to Ittamuddaulahs Tomb which is also referred as mini Taj for its superb marble inlay works gifted by Mughal King Jehangir to his wife in honour of her Parents. Evening visit the Tomb of the Great Mughal Emperor Akbar at Sikandra & rest of evening is kept free to walk in the markets of Agra & exploring the skills of artisan at the Handicraft factories. After dinner checkout from the hotel & transfer to railway station to board the air-conditioned train for Varanasi at 2230 hrs, overnight you will be sleeping in the private compartment of this train.
Day 07: Arrive Varanasi
Assistance on arrival by our Company’s representative in Varanasi at 1140 hrs, transfer to your prebooked hotel. After freshen up start the tour of Varanasi visiting Saranath – to see the Chaukhandi Stupa, Ashok Pillar, Dhamek Stupa, Dharamika Stupa, Dhamek Stupa, Archaeological Museum also visit the deer park and Bodhi Tree where Lord Buddha perched his First Sermon. Later in the day visit the temples of Varanasi – the Golden Temple dedicated to lord Shiva, the Durga temple dedicated to Goddess Durga. Interestingly the Durga Temple is also known as the Monkey Temple due to the large number of monkeys found in the Temple complex. Evening you will enjoy unforgetfull tour of the holy River Ganges and see the various Ghats with people ritually cleansing their sins. While on the boat you will also see the cremation ceremonies of dead bodies as per Hindi Rituals. Later drive back to hotel for overnight.
Day 08: Varanasi – Khajuraho (By air at 1220 hrs / arr at 1300 hrs)
Early morning a tour of River Ganges on the Boat to see the morning rituals at the time of sunrise a different sight from last evening, you will see people offering water to Sun God & taking dip in the holy waters of River Ganges. After breakfast checkout & transfer to airport t board the flight for Khajuraho at 1220 hrs, assistance on arrival in Khajuraho at 1300 hrs, transfer to your prebooked hotel in the town of Erotic Temples. After freshen up take a sight seeing tour of Khajuraho visiting Archeological Museum, Temple of Adinath, Eastern Group of Temples & in the evening visit Western Group of Temples where you can enjoy the sound & light show over here. Relax & overnight in Khajuraho.
Day 09: Khajuraho – Orchha (178 kms – 4 hrs)
Morning after breakfast if you like to visit the temple town you can do so as you have a lot of time today, checkout leisurely & drive for 3 hrs to Orchha – On arrival transfer to river side hotel in Orchha. After freshen up take a sight seeing tour of Orchha visit Raj Mahal or King’s Palace was built by King Madhukar Shah, a contemporary of Emperor Akbar. Jehangir Mahal was built by Raja Bir Singh Jo Deo in 1606 to felicitate the visit of Mughal Emperor Jehangir. History says that Rai Praveen Mahal was built by King Indra Mani, Other monuments include Raja Ram Temple, Chaturbhuj and Laxmi Narayan temples. Evening free to walk on the Banks of Betwa River, overnight in Orchha.
Day 10: Orchha – Bhopal (BY Superfast train at 1030 hrs / arr at 1430 hrs)
After breakfast transfer to Jhansi Railway station to board the train for Bhopal at 1030 hrs, this is the fastest way to reach Bhopal in few hours otherwise the drive will take around 7 hours, you will also get the opportunity to see the country side & the villages you pass by from this train. Assistance on arrival at Bhopal Railway station, transfer to your prebooked hotel. Early evening take a sight seeing tour of Bhopal visiting Laxmi Narayan Temple, Moti Masjid, Taj-ul Masjid, Shaukat Mahal, and Sadar Manzil. a walking tour of Bhopal for an overview of the city, overnight in Bhopal.
Day 11: Bhopal
After breakfast Later take an excursion tour to Sanchi Vidisha & Udaigiri, Sanchi which is famous for the Buddhist works of art dating from the 3rd century BC to the 12th century AD. The ancient stupas, monasteries, temples, and pillars form a major source of attraction here. Of these, the most famous is the Sanchi Stupa 1, originally built by the Mauryan Emperor Ashoka. Later drive to Vidisha 10 kms from Sanchi, Vidisha or Besnagar as it was known then, was an important trade centre in Emperor Ashoka’s time. On his way to Ujjayani, when he was still a viceroy, he stopped here and married the daughter of a wealthy local businessman. The ruins of a 2nd century BC Brahmin shrine dedicated to Lord Vishnu, show traces of lime mortar – the earliest use of cement in India. Located at the confluence of the Betwa and Beas rivers, Vidisha later passed on to the Malwa Sultans, the Mughals and then the Scindias. Later proceed to UDAIGIRI CAVES Just 5 kms from Vidashi is Udaigiri Groups of rock cut sanctuaries carved into the sandstone hillside form the Udaigiri Caves, There are 20 caves, out of which 18 are Hindu and the other 2 are Jain. An inscription in one of the caves indicates that they were produced during the reign of Chandragupt II, between 382 & 401 AD. The caves have been numbered, probably in the sequence in which they were excavated. Cave 5 depicts Lord Vishnu in a beautiful carving in his Varaha (boar) incarnation holding the earth goddess Prithvi on one tusk. Another large sculpture is that of a reclining Lord Vishnu. Cave 20 is particularly interesting, with detailed Jain carvings. On top of the hill are the ruins of a 6th century AD Gupta temple. Day 12: Bhopal – Ujjain – Indore
After breakfast at the hotel checkout & drive to Indore enroute visiting Ujjain situated on the right bank of River Shipra, Ujjain is, one of the oldest and holiest of Indian cities, it is one of the venues of the Kumbh Mela. Visit of Mahakaleshwara temple on the bank of the river. Later proceed to Indore, on arrival transfer to hotel. After freshen up take a sight seeing tour of Indore visit Indore on the banks of the rivers Saraswati, built by Ahilyabai the brave Holkar queen, visit the archaeological museum and the temple of Digamber Jains and the Kanch (Mirror Temple) Mandir. Evening free to relax, overnight in Indore.
Day 13: Indore – Omkareshwar – Maheshwar – Mandu (60 kms – 2 hrs)
After breakfast at the hotel checkout & drive to Mandu enroute visiting Omkareshwar the sacred island, shaped like the holiest of all Hindu symbols, ‘Om’, Shri Omkareshwar Mahadeo temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is located at the confluence of Narmada and Kaveri . The devout Hindus come here to kneel before the Jyotirlingams – one of the 12 in India. Later we will proceed to Maheshwar which is one of the most beautiful palace temple, the city located on the banks of river Narmada. Maheshwar temples are known for their carved overhanging balconies and their intricately worked doorways. This city is also famous for its silk saris. Thereafter we continue towards Mandu on arrival transfer to your prebooked hotel. Day free to relax & walk into the village of Mandu, relax & overnight in Mandu.
Day 14: Mandu
After breakfast at your hotel start the sight seeing tour of Mandu which has over 40 monuments to choose from. For convenience these are divided into three broad groups the Central Village Group – the Royal Enclave Group and the Rewa Kund Group. You can easily spend all day in Mandu wandering in and out of palaces pausing to admire the beauty of the Champa Baoli the former baths and the huge 15th-century Jama Masjid the finest example of Afghan architecture in India. Then there are the beautiful Jahaz Mahal (ship palace) where the architectural illusion is completed by the two surrounding lakes the Hindola Mahal or swing palace, the romantic Baz Bahadur Palace and Roopmati Pavilion and Hoshang Shah Tomb. The final resting place of the founder of Ghori Dynasty. Evening at ease, overnight in Mandu.
Day 15: Mandu – Ajanta Caves – Aurangabad (350 kms – 7 to 8 hrs)
After breakfast get ready for a long drive to Aurangabad there are no other means than to drive to Aurangabad, enroute visiting Ajanta caves dated back to 200 BC and 650 BC. These 30 Buddhist caves hewn painstakingly are cut into the scrap of a cliff are Chaitya (Chapels) & Vihara (Monasteries). These caves are known for their architectural beauty and for their remarkable frescoes paintings with infinite charm that speak about the civilisation of more than 2000 years. Painting in the caves and sculptures outside speak of some kind of transformation from Hinayana in the earlier caves to Mahayana in the latter caves where Buddha is shown in a human form. Later continue your journey towards Aurangabad, on arrival transfer to your hotel. Evening free to relax & stretch your self at the hotel or take a plunge in the pool to rejuvenate your self. Overnight in Aurangabad.
Day 16: Auranagabad – Ellorra – Aurangabad
After breakfast take a sight seeing tour of Aurangabad visiting Bibi-ka-Maqbara, Panchakki & Shrine of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb, after whom the city was named as Aurangabad. Afternoon take an excursion tour to Ellorra Caves, visit Ellora Caves carved between 7th & 11th century AD. Carved in sickle shaped hill, spread north to south in a area of 3 kms. Of these caves 12 are Buddhists, 17 are Hindus and 5 are Jains. The most remarkable of the carved shrines at Ellora is the Kailasa Temple, chiseled out by hand from single rock with Gateway, Pavilion, Courtyard, Assembly Hall, Vestibule, Sanctum and Tower-hall. After sight seeing of Ellorra drive back to Aurangabad, evening free to relax, overnight in Aurangabad.
Day 17: Aurangabad – Mumbai (By air at 0730 hrs / at 0810 hrs)
Morning transfer to airport to board the flight for Mumbai at 0730 hrs, assistance on arrival in Mumbai at 0810 hrs, transfer to your prebooked hotel & meet the Guide to start your sight seeing tour of Island City visiting Gateway of India – Indo-Saracenic architecture built in 1911, later cruise by motor boats to Elephanta island which was known as Gharapuri earlier is the glorious abode of Lord Shiva renamed Elephanta by the Portuguese who landed here, after they saw the majestically carved elephant on this island. The most famous of the panels is the Trimurthi or triple-headed Shiva, where the God is depicted as the destroyer, the preserver and the creator. Day 18: Mumbai – Goa (By air at 1200 hrs / arr at 1300 hrs)
After breakfast at the hotel, checkout & transfer to airport to board the flight for Goa at 1200 hrs, assistance on arrival in Goa at 1300 hrs, transfer to beach resort. Rest of the day free to relax or swim at the resort. Overnight in Goa.
Day 19: Goa
After breakfast at the poolside restaurant of your resort start a sight seeing tour of Goa though greenery & beaches are the main sight but to know Goa you should know the history of its too. Drive to Old Goa & visit the Basilica of Born Jesus, the 16th century church dedicated to Infant Jesus and enshrining the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier, is one of the most important sights of Goa. The other churches in the same area are St. Cathedral, with its vaulted interior, Church of Our Lady of Rosary and Nunnery of St. Monica. The Aguada Fort built by the Portuguese commands the mouth of the Mandovi River and houses a lighthouse & also there is a beautiful hotel by the name of Taj Fort Aguada by the Fort. Return to the resort, day free to laze or visit the famous beaches of Goa including the Baga, Anjuna & Calangute. Day 22: Goa – Mumbai / Delhi – Back Home
After breakfast checkout leisurely & transfer to Goa International airport to board the flight back home, there are many international flights operating from here. While booking your international flight tickets you can opt to return to your home country from Goa itself, if they don’t have connection from Goa than you can try return from Mumbai as Mumbai is only a 45 minutes flight away or otherwise fly to Delhi in the afternoon at 1500 hrs, assistance on arrival in Delhi at 1900 hrs, transfer to International airport to board the flight back home.
